The Grinch Who Stole Christmas a poem for the LGHers

dayz Short Posted by in General - December 27, 2015, 3:52 am

twas the night after christmas, when all through the group
not a fisher was fishing, nor hunters that snoop
empty buoys were drifting away from the shore
while out-of-funds coins spun in OOF evermore
the GMs were snuggled up cozy in beds
with visions of sugar-plum tips in their heads
and harvy was oiling the bolts in his cap
while wili -dear wili - was  taking a nap
when out in the chat room such drama was heard
as the grinch who stole christmas spoke words so absurd
attempting to stir up a kettle of doubt
he spouted such tales and he left the truth out!
and hunters who hunted began to yell thief!
while banning the others and causing much grief!
and those who find fishies found fishing on pause
and noisely offered exclamations and awwwws
while landowners rested their wallets - quite rightly
(after all they had filled all these things every nightly)
but hunters and fishers forgot about these
and harrumpted and hmppfted with threats and with please
and then into this jumble of digruntled posts
erupted the terry - the one they feared mosts!
with one eyebrow raised she gazed at the room
as the cowardly grinch tried to hide in the gloom
the terry remarked that her logs had been read
and she issued some warnings while fresh in her head
then sternly remarked on the things she had heard
(and everyone listened to every last word)
she reminded them all that while pleasant indeed
yesterdays cheer was still muchly in need
and thoughtfully thoughtful she added this post
be gratefull and kind or by gawd you'll be toast!
and the grinch who stole xmas gained such a surprise
when the community rose before his very own eyes
and united as one to proclaim ever more
no drama queen grinches allowed !! (and showed him the door!)
