Group Invite and Lag

This topic covers the group invite at Fish Hunt Buoys and lag.

Most business in SecondLife offer guests some form of spam when they arrive. By spam I mean group invite, landmark, rules notecard, store or club policy, etc.  Goldtokens does also. When you are within a specific range of a Fish Hunt buoy, a group invite is issued. The exact range is determined by the buoy owner, as it can be adjusted.

The group invite is sent even to those already in the group.. You can stay outside the buoy range to avoid getting one.

Lag affects the group inviter by causing it to store up the invites it would normaly be sending you. So, standing within range for a long period of time during a laggy time and then leaving will cause the group inviter to 1. store up a bunch of group invitations with your name on them =) and 2. send them at a time when lag is not affecting you as much =)

Yesh, even when you're clear to the other side of the SL grid, our hard-working group inviter will find you and offer you the invitations until it runs out of the ones it stored earlier.

Logging out will not stop this action. The only thing to do is to wait for it to finish. Rest assured, it will come to an end  =)
