This Blog is on the topic of  HARASSMENT.

There are many forms of harassment.  Lets look at how the dictionaries define the word

*to disturb persistently; torment, as with troubles or cares; bother continually; pester; persecute.
*disturbing one's composure or peace of mind by intrusion, interference, or petty attacks.
*petty persecutions or burdensome demands that exhaust one's nervous or mental power.
*to disturb or irritate by persistent acts or demands or questions.
*disturbing one's composure or peace of mind by intrusion, interference, or
*attempt to break down one's resistance
*use of guilt and pity to attempt to illicit a specific response

Sometimes harassment can be sneaky. Hiding it in off-hand remarks or in simple statements . This is a particularly nasty form of harassment as it tries to be  innocent  and clever but  to those who see it day in and out its obvious and ugly and to the person it is aimed at - its enough to make them want to ban ban ban and mute mute mute.

Jane Smith went to every  event that John Doe held  and when the budget ran out before Jane was done she would always find a way to say to the landowner ...
" gee i had so many oh dears that i barely got to even fish  my allowed casts.

Janes hope was to cause guilt and pity in John so that he would add more budget to the buoy.  Jane's statements are  harassment.

Contacting a land owner  or making such statements within hearing of the landowner repeatedly goes against our TOS  for 2 reasons. 1, we do not allow the begging of events  in any form but especially in the form of harassment and 2. we have a rule about NOT contacting  landowners if you have an issue with their land.

The example i gave is a generalization of the forms harassment can take. An example meant to show that harassment isn't always  obvious  and  a lot of things fall under its label.

*statements that imply you somehow got cheated of your expected fish time at a buoy/event.
* use of perceived freindships to coerce actions that bend normal behavior to suit ones own needs.
*statements that imply an unfairness of time zones  not allowing you to attend
* messaging the landowners to suggest more events - less events with more budgets -  other activities to go with the event - private events for specific people -
* use in any of its forms of persistent demands and guilt and pity and coercion and intimidation and mis-information and BS in its many cleverly hidden just-this-side-of-the-line forms

Shame on you to the ones who do this. shame on you. you have cost our community with this sneaky behavior and we are putting out a heads up to all that when you see this happening  - speak up. don't let the otherwise-so-nice person use this form of harassment to bend another person to their will. its  bullying. it wont be tolerated.

Such forms of harassment are just as much a break of our TOS as the more obvious types and will receive the same disciplinary actions as they do.

* Section 2.0 - Player Rules
article 2.2 - Players must show respect to Land Owners and Officers/Managers appointed by Land Owners at all times.
article 2.7 - Players will not demand that land owners refill buoys, coins or other objects with funds. It is a landowners right to fund our games how and when they want.

Disciplinary Action
3.0 - Types of Disciplinary Action
3.1 - Violations of our Terms of Service may result in, but are not limited to:
Probationary period which if violated will result in next step being taken immediatly as outlined during hearing.
Deduction of Gold Tokens and other resources.
Deduction of earnings.
Deletion of coins, gems and other items’ budgets.
Deletion of coins, gems and other game items.
Banning from our group chat.
Banning from the Business Park sim and other Second Ads managed lands.
Removal of verified account status and other privileges.
3.2 - The level of disciplinary action will depend on the seriousness of the offense.
3.3 - Should you have your account banned and you go click coins for another player to help them advance their points that person will be violating sections 2.2 and 2.4 and can lose their account as well. Once you are banned from playing Second Ads games that means just that..you are banned.

(and to those who think that such behavior is a good way to make a landowner leave us.. fail.  they just set their buoys to not announce and group only and you are not invited. ppfffttt. )
