I DON'T THINK THAT FAIR TO ANY ONE ON THE HUNT IT'S TIME TO "POLICE" THE HUNT SHOULD IT EVER HAPPEN I WOULD NOT MIND THE JOB.....WHAT DO YOU THINK.??

Hello Candy,

I can understand the frustration when there is an OOF coin or gem. We have game masters who are routinely visiting lands and checking for inconsistancies against our TOS.

However, the word "police" suggests somehow a wrong-doing by landowners. We have to remember that it is the generousity of landowners that allows the hunts to even exist whether they have 1 coin on their land or 100.

Players are able to vote for lands and land points are accumulated based on how many coins are claimed. This mechanism is actually very effective at making less generous lands sink down the rankings of lands on our website and HUDs. I'd also encourage players to learn what lands are the good ones and develop favourites they visit every day - there's nothing wrong with that.

I will take note of your comments though and we can look at it in the next staff meeting. We don't discount anyone's opinion here.

hello. =) But, they ARE  paying. Thats the whole point I would like to make . They are paying real money to allow us to come pick it up ....from the owner with 100 coins to the owner with 1 coin only. They pay and gain our traffic. Many can afford to place more coins out but the ones who cant are no less generous. they are giving what they can afford to give and  I for one am grateful. I know the frustration you feel can sometimes over-ride your understanding of the issue, but please realize the person with one coin has every right to recieve the same respect and gratitude from us as the one with 100 coins =)

candyandmore:

The Gold Hunt  lands are verified at least once a month except in extenuating circumstances. They are required to have a single coin on their land to remain on the HUD and website .  It is possible that you have gone to some of these lands after the coins have been recently collected , this will cause them to go invisible for a time ranging from   15 minutes to 3 days .  In addition , some of the landowners have made the hunt more interesting by placing coins in mazes , or have set out puzzles that must be solved in order to locate the coins and gems . There are a number of reasons why you might  believe you are seeing lands with no coins  . These are just a few of them .

If you take a close look at your HUD chatter , you will see that each location has a budget listed , that may give you an indication as to how many coins are at that location . Alternatively , if you take a close look at the list of locations on the Goldtokens website you'll see that each location has land points. The locations with more land points have had more rushes, have set out more coins , and have been given positive votes by more hunters .

Having said that , I would like to add that yes the landowners do set out coins " just to get you to come "  . They have purchased a traffic system . Some would like a lot of traffic , some would like less and they will set out coins accordingly .

The Gold Hunt is in fact "" Policed "" . We check each location regularly for  badly placed  hunt objects , illegally placed hunt objects , and just to ensure that they are still a Gold Hunt location .

I am not sure what is unfair about shop owners setting out free money for strangers to come by and pick up . I would love to meet with you in world and discuss your ideas about that  .

Should you come across a land with no visible coins at all  please feel free to contact a Game Master so that it can be investigated .

I try to hide stuff around my place and sometimes it is over a week before people can find a gem because I've hidden them so well. Remember sometimes you got to look hard to find something good.
