Voting Station Votes also produce Land Points which can be gained in 2 ways:
- Players voting through their player HUD or through VOTE STATION
- When a player catches a fish your land gets votes/land points (More land points per fish caught are given under multiplier event).
Note that land can loose more then just 1 LAND POINT if a player votes THUMB DOWN through his HUD so always make sure you also have lover coins placed on your land aswell as they respawn more quickly.

Mermaid Fishing area is highly regarded as the best that be found in SL. The history is amazing with many stories told and handed down from the generations dating back to 1756. Earlier records were lost in a massive typhoon that swept through the area in 1755.
There are reports that Mermaids have been spotted close to the fishing Bouys and entice fisher to dive into the water and once visitors do take the dive, many become underwater residents and are never seen on land again.
An old sunken submarine is nearby when the submarine sank the Captain was thought to be under the power of the Mermaids and ran his ship aground in hunt of their beautiful voices. The sub now rests near the last spot the Captain encountered singing Mermaids - it is reported by GOLD HUNTERS are still picking gold and rubies from this location, be advised eels have made the sub their home.
Shark Report have been many with species ranging from blues to great whites.
Fishing here is relaxing with worm barrels on the anchored ship.
For those so brave - a extreme high dive platform is available - a prayer station is close by and recommended to use before taking the dive.
