Understanding War results

The outcome of any War rely on two factors, your Attack Points: <img alt="attack" style="width:25px; height:25px;" src="icon_attack.png"> vs the opponents Defense Points: <img alt="defense" style="width:25px; height:25px;" src="icon_defense.png">

If your Attack Points: <img alt="attack" style="width:25px; height:25px;" src="icon_attack.png"> is lower than your opponents Defense Points: <img alt="defense" style="width:25px; height:25px;" src="icon_defense.png"> then you lose the fight.
If your Attack Points: <img alt="attack" style="width:25px; height:25px;" src="icon_attack.png"> is higher than your opponents Defense Points: <img alt="defense" style="width:25px; height:25px;" src="icon_defense.png"> then you win the fight.

If you win the War, then you receive your spoils such as Wheat <img src="icon_wheat.png"> Bread <img src="icon_bread.png"> Iron Ore <img src="icon_iron_ore.png"> Steel Bars <img src="icon_steel.png"> Spears <img src="icon_spears.png">

If you lose the War, then you have a chance of losing troops, your opponent who defended their Settlement will then have a chance of receiving some of your lost Spearmen <img alt="spearmen" style="width:30px; height:30px;" src="icon_soldier.png"> and/or lost Pirates <img alt="pirate" style="width:25px; height:25px;" src="icon_pirate.png">
